An Intergalactic Turnout to Celebrate Tricel’s French Expansion

Tricel has come a long way from its beginnings as a small family owned Irish operating company to become a world recognised global provider of high performance solutions for the Construction, Environmental, Water and Materials Industries. Customers for the company today include engineers, multinational manufacturing companies, government agencies and many more. The company now offers successful industry leading innovative solutions to an array of sectors, and have facilities operating in five major countries. Such is the strategic positioning of these facilities that the company now supplies a vast range of these products to over 50 countries worldwide, making it a highly recognised and trusted brand.

Tricel has continued this pace of positive expansion by means of an acquisition in the Southern region of France. The signing ceremony of the purchase agreement for this latest building, captured in the picture shown, takes place with the Notaire in France. Shown in attendance at the memorable occasion is (from left) Managing Director at Tricel Mike Stack, French Solicitor Florence Magnain and Notary Emanuel Comte. The occasion’s importance was notable due to the attendance of the reclusive but much revered Intergalactic Japanese robot superhero Goldorak (Grendizer in France).

Tricel’s innovative Sewage Treatment products successfully achieved a French Government Licence back in 2011. This was soon followed by the opening of their first mainland European factory in Poitiers in the Western region of the country. From this initial location they began manufacturing a wide range of successful sewage treatment products for the French market. Since its initial introduction to this geographic region the company has gone from strength to strength. This most recent acquisition in the South Easterly region of the country will see the expansion of the company’s presence and a significant growth of the market share.

2012 saw Tricel receive certification for its wastewater treatment systems in the neighbouring country of Germany. This resulted in Tricel becoming one of the few Irish brands who successfully hold both a French and German Government licence. These were just a few examples of the memorable landmarks on what has been a journey of positive and strategic expansion for the group. The company has been further developing its environmental portfolio in recent years and is currently selling into a number of major European countries, including France, Germany, Ireland, Belgium and the UK.

Consequently, in 2016 Tricel successfully introduced their new Seta wastewater treatment plant to the French market. The innovative technological system has been well received and is experiencing an outstanding start-up phase. This new Seta system is designed for both constant and intermittent influent applications, making it an ideal solution for school development projects, less frequently used holiday homes and also residential homes. The new Seta wastewater treatment plant system can also be integrated as a tertiary plant before discharge to ground through a gravel base.

This latest acquisition by Tricel is a one in a series of moves which not alone strengthens their position within the French market, but also bolsters the company’s strategic European presence.
