New manufacturing and distribution centre in Avignon strengthens Tricel’s position in the French market

Tricel continues to expand its already strong position within the French market with an addition to the company’s holdings in Avignon. These latest premises are in the south-east of the country and will play a pivotal role as a key assembly, logistics and distribution centre. This is the latest in an ongoing series of successful moves by the company involving a European growth strategy targeted at 2020.

The company has seen exceptional expansion throughout Europe in recent years, with the French market in particular being an area of keen interest. The accompanying photograph depicts (left to right) the former owner of the newly acquired building, Mr. Gauthier, handing the keys to Ms. Mary Kane, who will be the office manager at this new location. Also in attendance are Mr. John O’Loughlin, manager of Environmental Engineering at Tricel, and the head of Tricel’s Environmental division James Butler.

Tricel had already established a manufacturing centre in Poitiers in the western region of the country. This location acted as the group’s first mainland European factory and as the company’s commercial hub for France. It was from here that the company began to manufacture and distribute a range of very successful wastewater treatment plants to the French market after gaining a French Government Licence back in 2011. Since this initial success the company has strategically built upon and strengthened its position within this market.

CEO of Tricel, Mr. Mike Stack, views the French market as an important element of the group’s overall growth strategy. He commented: “Tricel has cultivated a very strong relationship with both France and the French market. Ever since achieving a French Government Licence for our Tricel sewage treatment products in 2011 we have actively developed growth strategies which a focus on these regions. We firmly believe that, moving forward, this latest development is one in a series which will see that relationship only grow, develop and get stronger”.

Tricel was successfully awarded a French Government Agrèment in May 2016. This allowed the company to introduce the new SETA waste water treatment system to the market. The product to date has been extremely well received due to its wide range of applications. The design of the highly innovative and versatile product means it is suitable for both intermittent and constant effluent applications. As such, the plant can serve permanent residential homes, less frequented holiday homes and even employed for larger projects like school developments.

Tricel is an established global provider of high-performance solutions for the WaterEnvironmentalConstruction and Materials industries with 12 operating locations across Europe. Headquartered in Kerry, Ireland, the company has been successfully manufacturing since 1973 and now serves over 50 countries worldwide.
